 In the left pane of the dialog “Accounts”, select the account.
 In Outgoing serve, click more “options”
 In the popup menu “Authentication”, select the authentication type and enter the required credentials

Issue: Your Internet service provider or your network has a firewall that blocks connections to the server (SMTP) mail from your outgoing mail service.

Help: See if your ISP or your network administrator may provide an alternative SMTP server to use with your POP or IMAP accounts. If you have the address of an alternate SMTP server, type in the account settings then follow the below given steps:

 In the menu “Tools”, click “Accounts”
 In the left pane of the dialog “Accounts”, select the “Account”
 In the box Outgoing server, enter the name or address of the server.
Issue: The credentials or account settings are incorrect.
Solution: Preferences verify the account that the user name, password and other account settings are correct.

 In the menu “Tools”, click “Accounts”
 In the left pane of the dialog “Accounts”, select the “Account”
 Make sure you typed the e-mail, user name and the correct password
